Discipleship (Walking Together in Christ)

  • Scripture & Prayer

At the heart of discipleship is a growing relationship with God through His Word and through prayer. Scripture in the Spirit is more than reading for knowledge — it is learning to hear His voice, obey His commands, and allow His Word to shape our lives. Prayer in the Spirit is more than words — it is communion with God, strengthening us, deepening our dependence on Him, and aligning our hearts with His will. Together, Scripture and prayer form the lifeline of a disciple, grounding us in intimacy with Jesus and guiding us into transformation.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

  • Community & Accountability

Biblical community is more than attending gatherings — it is living as the Body of Christ, where each member belongs, serves, and is cared for in love. Within this community, discipleship flourishes through servant leadership, as we follow Jesus’ example of humility by putting others before ourselves and leading through service rather than authority. True community also requires biblical accountability, where believers willingly walk in honesty, receive correction, and encourage one another in obedience to Christ. Together, these practices create a Spirit-led fellowship that shapes hearts, strengthens faith, and reflects the love of Jesus to the world.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)

  • Obedience & Transformation

Obedience and transformation are at the core of true discipleship. Obedience is not merely following rules but responding in love to the voice of God, surrendering our will to His, and walking in faith even when it costs us. As we yield to the Holy Spirit, our lives are transformed — our desires change, our character reflects Christ, and our actions bear fruit that lasts. Transformation is the visible evidence of obedience, showing that we no longer live for ourselves but for Him who saved us. Together, obedience and transformation reveal a disciple’s maturity: hearing and doing the Word, becoming more like Jesus in every part of life.

“Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” (1 John 2:6)
